Why CaregIVR?

The burden on informal caregivers can be significant, and they often experience high levels of stress and burnout.
The project aims to harness the potential of Immersive Virtual Reality to create realistic and interactive training simulations for caregivers, enabling them to develop and refine their skills in a safe and controlled environment.
By simulating real caregiving scenarios, CaregIVR helps caregivers practise responses to complex situations and understand the perspective of people living with stroke-related sequelae, thereby enhancing their ability to protect their own health while delivering effective and compassionate care.

About Us

The CaregIVR project aims to empower informal caregivers and vulnerable people by increasing their literacy in cardiovascular diseases and promoting the development of skills in providing care to people in the post-stroke phase through the use of Immersive Virtual Reality.
Likewise, the prevention of associated cardiovascular and cerebrovascular complications, as well as the promotion of a healthy lifestyle within this population, are among the project’s main objectives.
